A generalization of shellability to simplicial multicomplexes

Abstract

In this paper, we generalize the concept of shellability as one of the common concepts in combinatorial topological theory. In order to do that, we introduce $k$-decomposable simplicial multicomplexes and show that the shellbility is equivalent to $k$-decomposability in a special case.
