A report based on the quantitative and qualitative performance of published articles by Iranian mathematicians

Abstract

Considering that one of the common methods of evaluating research outputs is citation analysis, we have decided to collect information on published articles by Iranian researchers in the field of mathematics from the American Mathematical Society (AMS) database, MathSciNet. This data covers the years 2015 to 2018. Among the 54 active subject codes in mathematics, we have selected the top 10 codes with the highest publication statistics during this period. Then, focusing on these codes in 2018, we identify the universities that had the highest contribution to article production. Finally, by considering the MSCQ quality index, an attempt will be made to determine the quality level of the published articles.
