Abstract

In this article, we investigate the nearest pair problem. This problem has been previously addressed and studied in metric spaces, and in this paper, we explore it in lattice spaces and examine it from an order-theoretic perspective. Specifically, we discuss this problem in the context of complete Dedekind meshes.
