One of the types of optimization problems is multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). In this kind of problem, decisions are made based on several criteria. Generally, multi-objective optimization problems are divided into two categories: multi-objective decision-making and multi-criteria decision-making. The aim of this research is to familiarize with multi-criteria decision-making problems, where the goal is to find the best option among the available alternatives based on predefined decision criteria. Various methods have been proposed to solve such problems, and in this study, we will become acquainted with the TOPSIS method as one of the widely used approaches.
