Abstract

Finding the roots of a polynomial equation has significance across various fields of study, bridging mathematics with other sciences. While it may seem straightforward to determine the roots of functions with complex values using the fundamental theorem of algebra, is it equally accessible to the general public and experts in other fields? Visualizing the values and roots of a complex-valued function through color maps can facilitate a rapid and straightforward understanding of this concept and reveal its beautiful connection with other sciences like astronomy. This article provides a concise yet rich overview of this topic. It's worth mentioning that the color maps presented in this article were generated by using MATLAB software.
