Abstract

In this essay, I have put some of my personal experiences in the form of advice for young scientists and scholars who are about to step into the professional world of knowledge. Many of these insights may seem trivial on the surface, but they are the result of numerous mistakes I have made and have come at a great cost in the hope that they do not have a thought of experiencing them. By the professional world of knowledge, I mean the academic space with all its rules and regulations that must be adhered to by all its members. Not being familiar with the professional principles of the academic world, which are often composed of very detailed matters, can sometimes lead to irreversible errors that may occur unintentionally but can take an individual kilometers away from the right path. Therefore, I felt the need to highlight some subtle points that I believe every knowledge seeker and true scholar should be aware of in this short article. This text is almost the same as the lecture I presented among the students of the Farhangian University of Shiraz on April 14, 2016.
